Just now getting the digest version of this list.

I do not know. How does one even determine that? Well wait, I am saving a thumbnail in Photoshop, as to what the Finder will use or what it will do, I just don't know.
I guess part of my question is what is the OS doing these days? There used to be web page at Apple that went over changes to ColorSync and OS10.6 but my saved link is dead and Apple seems silent about it these days. My searches come up empty. The page specifically stated the change from 1.8 gamma to 2.2 and the switch from Generic RGB to sRGB for untagged content in the Finder. If I recall they also switched from the Display Profile to sRGB for untagged images in Safari. But again, I can not find any Apple documents on this.

Okay, this is an interesting comment. I will test this by telling Photoshop to skip or not write the thumbnail. Adobe Bridge however would want to use the Photoshop embedded thumbnail would it not?
I'm doing some other testing but its too early to report.
Thank you,
David
