- Thread-topic: UDACT - problems to "certify" EIZO CG275W
Hi Axel,
to your problem with "certification" on Eizo CG275 I can say thats not so
simple to complete some technical tests in colorimetry or color management
without doubt about the procedure.
It requires more experience than it looks at first glance.
My comments to your report:

Your mention of this feature looks suspicious because it is not a good idea
to use this correlation to compare the results in two different
applications.
DISCUS is supported in EIZO ColorNavigator and internal colorimeter
EIZO-swing is supported in UGRA-Tool (as I can read in documentation) so
there is no reason to use this undesirable correlation routine in test - or
is there?

Another suspicious thing is the information about Photoshop-script while
this is used only for CMYK-validation by ColorNavigator.
But It¹s not possible to make some control of White-Point coordinates from
this type of validation... I dont understand why you talk about it in this
case.
To check the monitor, you must always give priority to validation in native
mode first - I¹m just talking about RGB-mode in this case.

I have no idea if this combination of CCT 5800K + L*curve is recommended for
starting in UDACT-Test but many serious applications talks about
5000K+Gamma2.2 in first line.
Note that value of dE=12 correspond with difference between White-points of
5000K / 5800K very well.
Usualy we can get values dE<1.0 for White-point validation with DISCUS on
EIZO CG monitors.

If we talking about measurements in 2 different apps you should know that
EIZO ColorNavigator use special compensation tables for colorimeters by
default /"Color management (Recommended)"/ and It is possible to switch this
compensation Off in Preferences>Measurement device.
I would like to hear some news from you if the results change!
