Yes and no.
MakeInputICC does not include scanin, instead it relies on RawDigger CGATS output. The reasons are:
- RawDigger allows to profile right from raw data and knows very well how to extract and process that data
- it preconditions the data with gamma, white balance, end exposure "compensation" if asked to
- it allows to use flat field compensation from a separate shot
- it allows to sample irregular targets and provide visual feedback while sampling
- it is a better tool (though not automatic atm) when one wants to create a set of data from a multi-page target or from shots of the same target with different exposures.
MakeInputICC keeps Argyll utilities in a separate folder, easy to access by the user; if the user prefers some other version of Argyll it is an easy operation to replace the bins.
MakeInputICC prefers spectral reference files (while RoughProfiler seems to have problems processing spectral data), for the reason of scaling spectrum data according to exposure.
MakeInputICC generates white point, black point, deltaE2000, and neutrality reports.
Finally, the reason I made it is that I have control over MakeInputICC to develop it to be more useful for camera profiling ;)
