I suggest you do (and with the studio setup as well) or redefine the term colorimetric accuracy.

My intention isn't to rip anything, but rather to understand and maybe implement this when warranted. And yes, peer review once something can be reviewed with specific steps would be lovely.

That part of the equation I indeed have. I believe I stated that I've haven't had any issue using ACR and a Macbeth to produce color numbers in an output referred ProPhoto RGB color space that matches what the Macbeth is supposed to produce. Neither did Bruce Fraser. That *seems* to be colorimetric accuracy. Move the same camera system (and processing) elsewhere, not necessary so.
So I take this target into the field and capture it and.....?
Or even in the studio. To ask again (specifically):
