According to a Gretag engineer when asked several years ago (before the merge with X-Rite), although the Spectrolino with its D65 filter does not produce a true D65 light source, it does result in a fair D50 light source. So this could qualify as the M1 measurement condition. The optional UV cut filter allows the Spectrolino to measure with the M2 condition. With the Null filter the M0 condition is met. Lastly, the Spectrolino also has a polarizing filter, so it can also measure with the M3 condition. In summary, the Spectrolino can measure with the M0, M1, M2 or M3 conditions (the i1Pro 2 can only measure with the M0, M1 or M2 conditions).
As for the iO table, it has been a disappointment in many ways. I wish X-Rite produced an updated Spectroscan-T for the i1Pro 2. The SpectroScan worked with more media, with less mechanical difficulty than the iO. Its drawbacks are that it was slower and noisier than the iO. The only device that comes close to the SpectroScan is the Color Scout A+.
