I have both silverfastAi and Epson scan.

I am scanning into the native scanner color space.
In Epson scan I use "no color adjustment'. Which outputs RGB in the native scanner colorspace.
And yes, there is clipping in the paper texture white detail in the scan even in the native colorspace. And thats before the custom scanner profile gets assigned.
In Silverfast Ai with no color management applied in the CMS settings I still see a clipped histogram too.

I was wondering if somehow the scanner is now slightly overexposing compared to when it shipped out of the factory.
I was thinking that the white calibration strip ( I assume the 10000XL has one?? ) may be dirty and/or reflecting less than it should.
I am guessing something like that might cause some over exposure?
But i thought I'd better check to see if anyone else on this list had encountered this sort of thing before on an epson 10000xl before I try anything drastic on my epson scanner.
