1.6.1? Wow!
Can't wait.
Glad i1Profiler finally incorporates "previewing" features that have been sorely missed from day one.
Best / Roger
P.S. While I have you on the line, Ray, about the new iSis 2, with direct support for M0, M1 and M2, does the instrument still use more than one pass in order to return the measured spectral reflectance, say, in M1 mode?

i1Profiler (in the box with the instrument) allows you to create charts from 1 patch to many with no associated reference values. You can measure directly into this chart and save the data in many formats including spectral using the custom CGATS option. This can be done with the completely unlicensed version.
If you are a licensed reflection profiling user with an i1Pro2 there is a new feature in 1.6.1 (released this week - but not yet on the auto update server but available on our site) that allows you to preview data: double click on any single measured patch and get the input recipe, a Œsoftproof'
of the patch under M0, M2 and M3 measurement modes, spectral curves, Colorimetry plot, Colorimetry data, densitometry data. This new feature is available in all the primary measure chart modes.
There are also several 3rd party solutions (Roger has mentioned some leading contenders) that have great support for the i1Pro2 and may provide alternatives that better suit your needs for a pure data collection tool.
