The issue with the i1Pro is that it drifts as the unit itself is warmed by the panel you are calibrating.
Leaving it on the screen for an extended period means that there less risk of temperature change during the calibration process.
Isn’t that why the i1Pro2 looks/feels a lot different to the original?
I’m pretty sure that thermal stability was a recognised problem with the i1Pro.

Got some Eizo users here who rate them, but I’ve not had a chance to run any tests.
Don’t really understand why we’re still discussing the i1Pro anyhow?
Standards have changed. It no longer has a place in the professional imaging toolbox...
