Probably not much help, but the lamps seem to be 2.5V Medical lamps, possibly
Quarz Halogen, given their higher color temperature (> 3000K) and the desirability
for longevity.

Given the lamps are glued into place, it wouldn't be easy replacing them though.
If they (and the similar lamps in the i1Pro) are Quartz Halogen, then might
explain some odd characteristics I've noticed about them...
