If that's the case, then very poor choices of RGB ink have been made.
The main point is to use RGB inks that have a gamut that exceed what can be
created using a combination of CMY. A secondary aim may be to reduce ink
loading for imagery that has a higher proportion of R,G or B hues than
C, M or Y.
