Actually I got i1profiler to do exactly what I wanted and it's pretty quick. You just have to make a one patch Target in the measurement module and when you click on it and info screen comes up and I get what I need. Thank you everyone for your help.

So when I'm comparing prints I can quickly ascertain the difference in patches. It doesn't require me to have a target. Unfortunately you can't do the same in i1Profiler and I just looked at Color Port again and it requires a target also. If want to be able to do this with i1 profiler I have to upgrade to the Publish edition. The X-rite technician said there are third party apps but he couldn't name names. If anyone knows of an app that would make this easy I would appreciate the info.
