There used to be specific OEM printer profiles that corresponded to the
print quality resolution settings for the older Epson wide formats like the
Stylus Pro 9000. I think that extra variety in profiles was abandoned when
the 9700 range appeared, so the 9600 and 10600 may still have had them. I
guess some compensation in the underlying media presets can help to make
one printer profile usable for more resolutions.
