Note that Apple's ColorSync assumes sRGB as source colorspace for
untagged images (which is reasonable). So...
> 0 0,0,0 (correct)
> 1 14,14,14 (….wrong….should be 1,1,1) !!!
> 2 16,16,16 (……wrong…should be 2,2,2) !!!
...this alters the nominal RGB values slightly (sRGB -> AdobeRGB):
sRGB 1,1,1 should be AdobeRGB 6,6,6 (rounded up)
sRGB 2,2,2 should be AdobeRGB 9,9,9 (rounded up)
etc.
Doesn't of course change that there seems to be something wrong with
Preview, either way.
