There's a point, on page 3, in the middle of the first paragraph, where he
writes: "If the sample is dark we may need to spend an entire second on each
step to get an accurate reading. That's over 5 min to take one
measurement!". That's indeed a long time. I recently got my hands on a good
instrument and I'm finding - the hard way - how long it can take to measure
down to RGB = 0,0,0. I'm still not clear on the creation of "XYZ filters",
though? .
