Hi Paul,
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
So, if I calibrate my crummy sheetfed press to Curve A TVIs, using Fogra39, I
ought to pass certification with "flying colors"?
I downloaded Fogra39L and looking at the 50% tints, for CMY, and I find the
comparison to GRACoL quite interesting.
Fogra39 50%C 75.62 -16.49 -26.67
GRACoL06C1 50%C 74.68 -17.15 -27.42 (very close to Fogra39)
Fogra39 50%M 71.22 33.64 -7.28
GRACoL06C1 50%M 70.24 35.29 -6.03 (quite a difference in a*)
Fogra39 50%Y 91.55 -4.01 41.02
GRACoL06C1 50%Y 91.66 -3.87 43.59 (slight difference in b*)
Fogra39 50c/40m/40y 58.03 0.25 -1.10
GRACoL06C1 50c/40m/40y 57.54 -0.12 -1.42 (quite close to Fogra39)
All that with 16% dot gain @50% on Fogra39?
In other words, if I calibrate my HDM press to 16% TVI @50%, if my solids are
close to the specified Lab values, and my substrate is not too far off the
specified value, again, you say I stand good chances of hitting that
50c/40m/40y?
/ Roger

Hi Roger
Yes, you are correct in your thoughts, the TVI curves are the same for all
colour in the 2013 version.
