Hello again,
I ported my app from 9 to X by using Carbon and MIDIServices. Another
strange effect occurs: When compiling my app with CodeWarrior under OS 9 and
run it in OS X there is "no" delay between NAPlayNote and its response
(Sound). If the app is compiled with the Project Builder (Carbon Framework
and Quicktime Framework) there is a delay of about 200ms between NANotePlay
and the Sound. I would like to use the Quicktime Instruments as an
alternative sound source for people without (expensive) MIDI sound module.
Does anybody know the reason for this difference?
