Writing an Audio Unit

I'm in the process of writing an AU. The hard part seems to be dealing with
the Component Manager. Do you Apple people have a sample AU project that
you're willing to send me to start the task?

Otherwise, I've managed to create and register a component within an
application. But I can't seem to get it registered globally on the system.
Bill Stewart suggested I put it in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components but it
isn't registered on system startup. I also tried downloading the sample
components (MyComponent, etc) from the Apple website and putting them in
this location but that didn't work either. Any other suggestions?

Roger Butler,
Lake Technology.
