How is the default audio output device determined? There are no device
selection options in the System Preferences.
If I have some sort of USB device connected that accepts multichannel audio
and I also have the internal Mac speaker, what happens in MIDIGraph.java
when a new AUNode is created as kAudioUnitID_DefaultOutput?
On a G4, when you plug headphones into the headphone jack, the output goes
to the headphones rather than the speaker. Is there a way to detect this in
software?
