Sven,

Thanks I downloaded this and tried it - it looks great and its wonderful to see an audio app up and running on X.

One thing that came to my attention... - at least for X (I understand this might be different for 9)

We created a folder (well 2 actually from either the system level or user level) called:
Library/Audio/Plug-Ins, that should contain a directory called VST - and also has sub-directories for AudioUnits (Components) as well

This Plug-Ins directory already has a FindFolder define in the .h files so that you can find it regardless of the particular language a system is using. And the Component directory here is a known directory to the component manager so any audio units installed in those directories will automatically be found by any app that looks for them.

We're really like to see applications use these directories on MacOS X rather than have each create their own directories to scan for VST/AudioUnit plugins, etc... as this can become quite a problem for users with multiple audio apps on their systems.

The advantage of the two folders as well is that it gives users who are sharing machines - like studios for hire, universities, etc - with multiple users the ability to keep *their* set of plugins and whatnot in their own home directories and the administrator of the machine to have a standard set of plugins that are available for all users of the machine...

Thanks

Bill
