I was hoping that instead I would get a MIDINotification in the

The 10.0 MIDI driver API didn't have good plug-and-play support. The
driver interface has been extended for 10.1...

Is this something that has to change in the MIDISport driver, or will
be it handled by new OS Code? Is there documentation available yet for
the API changes? I'm running 10.1 5G27, so the OS is not currently
handling it.
Scott,
Drivers will need updating to take advantage of the new OS services.
We're hoping to get some improved, reusable driver sample code out to
developers ASAP. This won't affect the application API at all, other
than applications no longer having any need for doing anything with
MIDISetup objects -- the system is now maintaining a central, dynamic
MIDISetup.
