At the moment that MIDISport is not really usable because the driver posted
at the MIDIMan site is still the February beta that accidentally included a
debugging log. The author of the driver has written that the release version
will be done soon, but he doesn't know why MIDIMan, now called M Audio, never
posted a repaired beta he gave them in May, and from the available evidence
it looks like M Audio doesn't answer support email - not very encouraging.
For my Delta card, the OS X driver on the German site
http://www.midiman.de/d_delta.htm is two versions newer than on the US
site
http://www.midiman.com/
(I noticed it when midiman first level support urged me to download
the "newst driver" to fix a bug - which was a downgrade.)
So sometimes it might be worth to look at the German site.
This isn't necessary for the Midisport 8x8 in question, because there
is a brand new Jaguar compatible driver on
http://www.midiman.com/
Did you notice?
Best regards,
Gerd
