Subject: Re: iMic Pops and Clicks (and lost frames)
Thanks for providing the clip. Those are exactly the pops and clicks
that
I've experienced on a Titanium G4 400 with the iMic on Mac OS X 10.1.5.
I too think it is an interrupt latency issue.
So, it seems as if Core Audio is somehow losing samples from the iMic.

Ed, thanks for all this detail. If I'm reading you correctly, it seems
as if you are describing an issue iMic has with CoreAudio, which is what
I expect. I was hoping to spur this discussion on so that the folks at
Griffin could realize that their product has a serious issue that is not
Apple's fault. It's a great little device at the price, but if you
can't use it without the pops and clicks it's useless. We've now seen a
good number of responses indicating the problem on a variety of
hardware. The only thing I still wonder about is if Jaguar will improve
things?
Thanks to all for the discussion.
