Just for a completely unbiased report (!), I've been extensively using
and developing some software using the iMic under OS 10.1 and 10.2
without any of these pop and click problems. Sometimes when the audio
stream starts there is some strange sound, like what Jeremy Cooper
described, but it's just a momentary thing. Can't remember it happening
with 10.2, but it might have.

That's great. Is your software available for beta testing? Also, if there is a noise, even momentary, doesn't that ruin the recording? Should one have to edit the beginning of every recording to get rid of noise?
