Mainly just curious, what is the difference between the various Apple
output
AudioUnits? I have a little test app that runs through available audio
units;
for kAudioUnitType_Output (V2) it produces this output:
AUTestController test4 - listing audio output units
- audio-output component "Apple: AudioDeviceOutput" found at address
0x10009
- audio-output component "Apple: DefaultOutputUnit" found at address
0x1000b
- audio-output component "Apple: GenericOutput" found at address 0x1001e
- audio-output component "Apple: SystemOutputUnit" found at address
0x1000d
So what are the differences among these four components, or where is
this
documented?
