Hi...
not sure if this is the place to ask, but I have the latest Logic
Audio SDK and host for Audio Units. I also have the full boxed version
of Logic Platinum 5 (for OS 9). I'm new to Logic Audio, and am trying
to get my plug-in (Audio Unit component) to come up.
I've followed the Audio Units porting SDK for porting my VST plug-in
to Audio Units, have copied the component to the
Library:Audio:Plug-Ins:Components folder, and am running the host from
my project in the CodeWarrior debugger. However, I can't see any way
to get to my component from Logic.
The manual shows an Inserts button in the Track Mixer items, but there
is no such button. I can't find any reference to plug-ins or audio
units or anything, nor can I find my component's name in any menu. Can
someone help me get this going?
Perhaps it has something to do with the HFS Creator being '????' in
the project settings? Or perhaps the Readme.h doesn't specify some
step I was supposed to take to get the Audio Unit to be recognized? Or
is it just that launching component plug-ins in the Audio Units version
of Logic Audio is different?
Anyway, any advice here (including a good source for more info other
than the OS9 version's manuals) would be appreciated. Thanks...
Howard
