It will for sure! I don't know why the base class doesn't provide an easy
way, but you can still do it yourself by grabbing the SR for yourself
during StreamFormatChanged (or using a variety of other means).

Actually I'm pretty sure that, in AU world, MusicDevices can have inputs
(isn't that one of the MusicDeviceBase constructor arguments?). But there
are other features in MusicDeviceBase like "groups" and the note methods
and such that I think are particular to instrument designs, but I'm not
really sure, I haven't explored MusicDevices very thoroughly yet myself...
