The USB driver is for devices that support the USB MIDI class spec -- a
standard USB-MIDI communication protocol that lets us put a single
driver in the OS to support all devices which conform to the spec.
The shipping class-compliant devices I have seen so far are:
Roland UM-880
Evolution keyboard
Event EZbus
There are probably more.
