I have this device up and running with 6 output channels
with CoreAudio and AudioUnits on MacOS 10.1.2.
The way to do it until official drivers are available:
Install the latest drivers in the Classic environment. Then the Emagic
gets correctly initialized when hooked up, such that it will appear in
the
MacOS X sound control panel. I then just make sure it is selected as the
default audio output device and access it with CoreAudio.
I actually use a AudioUnit for access to it. But the underlying
AudioDevice
must be initilized accordingly for 6 channel playback.
