jmidi & coreaudio?

hello,

...I was wondering if anyone had already made a set of classes that allowed jmidi to call coreaudio/midi directly? I know that the os 9 version requires a "midiport" extension that interfaces OMS, but it seems as tho a class could just be produced that would allow jmidi programs to run on OS X without too much of a rewrite...
