Most people use SoundFonts, which are in abundant supply from sites like
www.hammersound.net.
Are you really specifically looking for DLS banks? The DLSSynth AudioUnit
in OSX handles SoundFonts just the same :)

I think that the generic Midiman Keystation driver for OSX works with the
