you might be able to poke through the ioregistry and determine if
that driver is loaded at runtime.
Thank you. You're actually the second person to suggest the IOKit
registry as a source of driver information, and I'll be dipping my
toe into that deep water.
Walking the registry would certainly tell me at runtime whether or
not the program should run. But my hope is to help people decide
whether or not they should download the program in the first place.
