These files are already AIFC files. The reason they are AIFC is that the data is little endian. The reason for the .cdda extension is so that iTunes can claim the files by default rather than QTPlayer.

Not to beat a dead horse here, but it sure would be nice if those files had a separate type and creator, that way we could all know the type, and iTunes could still open them instead of QTPlayer....
