I've been sitting on a reply to this message because I knew that rewritten
drivers were imminent. Here's a link to the current software:

Our testing guys tell me they have a test case of shifting roughly 80000
bytes through various sequencer apps. Since my ring buffers are only 10000
bytes, and since I can shift 50000 bytes unsequenced (a single call to
OMSWriteDataAsync), I take this to mean the general-case problem is solved.
