One of the ways we deal with this with the device audio units is to have one
of the input busses of the OutputAUs for EACH stream of the device. Thus for
built-in hardware, you'll can only supply data for bus '0' because this
hardware only has one output stream for the device (and this audio unit
doesn't do mixing)
We are taking a very long look at an input AudioUnit for the next OS
release.
