Audio callbacks and Midi SysEx Completion Routines

We are developing an application where Midi messages are sent inside a
CoreAudio audio callback. Small messages are sent synchonously directly
inside the audio callback. SysEx messages are sent using a Completion
Routine.
I would like to know if the Audio callback can interrupt the SysEx sending
Completion Routine or the contrary, or if we can assume that both routines
are completely exclusive.
As a more general quesion, I would like to know if Midi receive callback,
SysEx Completion Routine callback and audio callback are exclusive or not.
