Problem with audio input

Hello,

I am writing audio full duplex support for our application using core audio
api, but i am having troubles with audio in device.
I am unable to get any sound from the source of my sound card, even if the
call back seems to work properly. I just hear a little sound when i plug
a jack on this source.
I use a dual g4 500 (about 1 or 2 years old) and i have the same problem
with applications like "sound studio" or "audiocorder".

I tried to adjust the kAudioDevicePropertyScalar property on my default
input device, but i get an unknownPropertyError.

Does anybody know what is going wrong ?
