In Project Builder, select your plugin target, go to the Executables tab, and set /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreMIDIServer.framework/MIDIServer as the executable. Then when you run or debug, the MIDIServer will run. If your plugin is in the right place, it will get loaded by the MIDIServer, and then you can debug it (set breakpoints in it or whatever).

This sounds like the tip of the month, but I couldn't get it to work.

I get the message if my plugin is in "/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers":

Error from Debugger: No symbol table is loaded. Use the "file" command.

I do build my MIDI plugin with the "generate debugging symbols options" turned on.

Any ideas ?
