There is a mixer audio unit (in 10.1 a Stereo Mixer) and in Jaguar an
additional 3DMixer unit.
Then you take the output of the mixer unit straight to the hardware (the
buffers that the HAL publishes) - you can do this through one of the output
units - in that case you connect the mixer to the output unit, your sources
to separate input elements on the mixer, and you're done...:)
