That's the FireWire DV Sound Input component you are seeing. It only
does interesting things if you hook a FireWire DV camera up to the
computer and are actively capturing data from it. You use the
siDeviceConnected info selector to find out if there is a camera
attached to the component.
It doesn't appear in the HAL because there isn't an IOAudio driver for
it.
