Hi . I am a user of the music notation editor Sibelius .
There is a bug that was added to QuickTime with the introduction of Jaguar
where there is unwanted (and excessive )vibrato added to instruments as you
3play them in2 to the notation editor . There are also several other issues
where one cannot control or edit the amount of reverb added to quicktime .
Sibelius is a premier application and there are several disgruntled users
posting on there discussion group with regards to this . It really does mar
the utility of QuickTime with the application and is especially frustrating
for laptop users. Especially when considering that os X1.5 did not have the
bug .
Sibelius argues realistically that the bug is in QuickTime.
I joined this list several months ago with the hope of posting and finding
a workaround . And engineer posted reply that apple was aware of the problem
and was working on it .
Sorry to have to ask this but it is the way I know of getting some kind of a
direct answer out of apple
It has been several months two updates (and one to QuickTime )since Jaguar
was released and the bug is still there annoying the hell out of us all .
I am considering initializing and partitioning my drive to install os X 1.5
as it seems this is the only realistic solution .
Any other recommendations .?
Regards David Crooke
