It had to be tried...

OK, don't flame me too much....

After being inspired by a forum poster over on OSXAudio.com and Apple's
lovely new Rendevous technology I decided to have a go at sending MIDI
over Ethernet.

The result is: iMIDI 0.1b.

It kinda, sorta works but you need decently powered computers connected on a
LAN (hence Rendezvous) (I had no luck with an old PB G3 233
- unsurprisingly - and Airport is definitely out of the question :-)

However I was able to successfully send MidiClock messages to Reason through
a 10/100 hub and Reason kept pretty good time.

Anyway if you're interested please give it a whirl and let me know how it works for you
- I've only got a couple of Macs here that I can try it out on.

Thanks,

Robert.
