Opcode USB MIDI drivers

  • Subject: Opcode USB MIDI drivers

I've been starting to get email from individuals interested in Mac OS X MIDI drivers for their Opcode USB MIDI interfaces.

If I remember correctly, the Opcode interfaces -- like Roland's -- use the USB class spec format for encoding MIDI in USB, but present themselves as vendor-specific devices. It would probably take about an hour for someone to adapt the CoreAudio sample USB MIDI driver.

Is there someone out there with such an interface and who would be interested in helping these users? Or has already created such a driver? I'd be glad to take a little time to help.

thanks,
Doug
