HostCallback_GetBeatAndTempo howto?

Hello,

I'm trying to get tempo informations in my AudioUni codet...but I don't manage to make it work. Could someone explain me the basics steps to achieve that?
From what I understand I need to create a callback in my code and then to make it point to the beatAndTempoProc of the host. No luck yet...could someone give me a basic example or step by step instructions?
I'm more into pure DSP coding so actually I'm not sure I understand how to implement this..

Thanks a lot and sorry for those "newbie" questions,
