OK, I've just put up the first version of a little app reminiscent
of the MidiKeys (or whatever it was called) that shipped with
Apple's Midi Manager long, long ago.

It puts up a graphic keyboard onscreen and lets you send MIDI notes
by typing alphanumeric characters. You can set the channel and
velocity, and select a MIDI source to watch on the keyboard (in addition
to the notes you are sending).

I use a laptop for almost all of my development, and it's a major
pain to bring a keyboard (even a small one like the Oxygen8) around with me.

I hope someone else find this useful...
