Unfortunately I'm having problems with external devices. I can create an external device and hook it up to the AMT8 in Audio MIDI Setup. However, when I quit Audio MIDI Setup and run it again, the connections have disappeared. Connections work correctly with the other other MIDI drivers I have (MOTU and M-Audio), so it looks like the Emagic driver is at fault here.

(More detail: it looks like the connections persist as long as the MIDIServer is running. That is, if I make a connection in AMS, start another MIDI app, and quit AMS, the connections are still present. Starting AMS again will show the connections. But if I quit all MIDI apps, then the connections are not present the next time any MIDI app starts.)
