A kAudioParameterUnit that would be useful but doesn't seem
to be available is logarithmic time, for example a compressor
or gate's release time might be 1 to 1000 ms. Using a linear
scale doesn't work as there is a big difference in sound
between 1, 10 and 100 ms. A dimensionless logarithmic unit
would also be useful for compressor ratios.

So without making a custom editor, is there a way of defining
my own type of parameter unit, or overriding the slider-to-
paramter scaling or providing my own parameter display text?

____

Is there a nice way of adding some help information to my
AU? I mean something more 'OS X' than including a readme
file.

____

If Apple are going to make any more AU examples, it would
be useful to have one that overrides ProcessBufferLists()
as in my experience, algorithms which process each channel
completely independently are the exception rather than the
rule.

Paul.
