Folks.
Just got deep into porting our OMS apps over to CoreMidi.
First impressions are very good. You done good Doug !
However, I am hitting an immediate oddity.
My app follows the example of echo.cpp very closely. I am using
Codewarrior 8.2 under Mach-O. I have added code to build a user
interface to allow the user to select devices etc.
Anyhow, the code works GREAT. However on alternate launches, I see
ZERO sources and destinations from getnumberofsources etc. Plus the
Midi server frequently crashes,
On the next launch generally, all is well again, until the next time.
I have added code to properly dispose of the client, and any
connected handlers for inputs, but I still get this strange behaviour.
I have been using an Emagic Unitor 8 Mk II.
......LATER.......
I have just popped in a Midiman midisport 2x2 instead, and that seems
to work fine. Oh well, a driver problem perhaps on the Unitor. I am
using the 3.0b1 midi man driver.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar with the Unitor 8 ? The
emagic installer I used calls itself
'driver for #67F0D'
On the whole, I am extremely encouraged by how smoothly this has all
gone. I have been dreading porting the Midi stuff for months, but its
really not been too painful so far.
Cheers
Mark Gilbert.
