Hi John
I agree that it would be nice to have a variety of system controls available
for specialized audio use.
But if this consideration is not too crass-- A big success factor of some
brands of plugins, has as much to do with their "cool" unique appearance as
with the plugin's sound or the company's marketing ability. Chicken-head
knobs, brushed-chrome panels with realistic hilites, 3-D animated buttons,
etc.
For companies who have the commercial advantage of fantastically cool
looking plugin windows, what would be the motivation to ditch that advantage
and instead substitute plain-jane windows that are visually equivalent to
some weekend warrior's first "hello world" plugin? (GRIN)
