Hey Matt, the AudioFile API works with MP3? Does it do the decompression itself?

You can use other 3rd party frameworks that handle file reading, such as SOX, libsndfile, etc.

Is the AudioFile API stuff in the AudioToolbox Framework
supposed to work for all file types? I can only get
AudioFileReadPackets() to work with sd2 and mp3 files,
no AIFF or WAV and i can't seem to find any documentation..

or is there a better way to obtain sample data from various
file formats without writing my own [or 3rd party's] file
parser?

thanks,
Matt;
