I get this error message in the debug log every other time I start my app now.

CoreMIDI: timeout waiting for MIDIServer to start

It started after I installed unity-session but it may or may not be related to that. What would cause this error to occur?

I used to see that when MIDI drivers got into an infinite loop, but when that happens, it stays broken until you manually kill the MIDIServer process. It could be that a MIDI driver installed by unity-session is either taking too long to initialize or too long to terminate. Use the process monitor to see what the MIDIServer process is doing when you launch your application.
